Note from Ingrid:

I know how hard it is to get back into the groove of things after New Years. With Pilot Season happening so quickly after the holiday, it means getting back on track fast! Rory is an excellent and caring trainer and understands the body an actor works hard to develop and keep. His energy and enthusiasm has often rubbed off on me when I'm tierd during a workout!
I've also introduced the link for the Krav Maga dvd series available for purchase thru the poster link. Often used in the 'action' films here in Vancouver, it's been a great form of combat training for me to learn and a great addition to my resume!

Question For A Director:

Any suggestions for the actor when they are preparing for an audition?

"Do the research! If there's anything in the audition that you don't understand, make sure you understand it."Peter DeLuise/Director, Actor

Research means different things: if it's the pronounciation of a word, make sure you get it right. Look it up on the dictionary on the internet and it will sound out the correct way to say the word over your speakers. I've gone so far as to call the library to check on a word or phrase...whatever it takes.
If it's a word or phrase that is used often on a show already airing, watch the show! You should be watching shows filmed in your area anyway. If you're doing this it will save you the time of researching the correct pronounciation, not to mention the feel and tone of the show!
I can tell you, from my own experience of mispronouncing a word in the room, how important it can be to say a word correctly; especially if the writer is in the room! Ingrid
